PureSpectrum Achieves Global ISO 20252 Certification Across All Operating Regions

PureSpectrum Completes Global ISO 20252 Certification, Extending Standard to U.S. and Singapore Operations

Research buyers today are asked to trust a lot of things they cannot see. They rarely meet the teams programming their surveys, sourcing their sample or cleaning their data, and on a multi-country study those teams may sit in three different time zones. What buyers can ask for is proof that the work behind their data follows a consistent, documented and independently verified process. That proof is exactly what ISO certification is designed to provide.

PureSpectrum has achieved global certification to ISO 20252:2019, the international standard for market, opinion and social research, including insights and data analytics. Following its most recent audit, CIRQ, the accredited ISO certification body of the Insights Association, extended our certification to our U.S. and Singapore operations. These join our previously certified offices in Australia, Germany and the United Kingdom.

With this expansion, our certification now covers our operations across North America, EMEA and APAC, and remains valid through October 19, 2029.

About ISO 20252

ISO 20252 establishes globally recognized terms, definitions and service requirements for managing research projects. Certified organizations must demonstrate transparent, consistent and well-documented processes at every stage of a project, from design through data delivery.

Our certified scope covers the core services we provide to clients:

  • Sample through the PureSpectrum Marketplace, whether clients run projects on their own through our Self-Service Platform, automate through our API, or work with our services team
  • Survey programming and hosting
  • Survey data processing, from quality checks through validated data delivery

Why Certification Matters More Now

The pressure on research data has never been higher. Survey fraud has grown more sophisticated, AI-generated responses are a real and growing concern, and timelines keep getting shorter. At the same time, more studies span multiple markets, which means more handoffs, more teams and more opportunities for inconsistency.

In that environment, simple alignment to published standards and good intentions are not enough. Buyers, and increasingly their procurement and compliance teams, want evidence that a partner’s processes hold up under scrutiny. ISO 20252 provides a common, internationally recognized benchmark for that evidence, assessed by an independent auditor rather than self-reported.

CIRQ itself is accredited by ANSI’s National Accreditation Board and operates under an independent board of directors. That independence is what gives the certification its weight.

What This Means for Our Clients

For clients, global certification translates into practical benefits on every project:

  • Consistency across markets. Whether a study is managed from the U.S., Singapore, Australia, Germany or the UK, it follows the same documented standard for project management, quality control and data handling.
  • Simpler vendor qualification. Teams that require ISO-certified partners can now engage PureSpectrum in any region without exceptions or additional review.
  • Traceability. Documented processes mean decisions made during a project, from feasibility to final data delivery, can be reviewed and explained.
  • Independent assurance. Our processes have been assessed by an accredited third party, not just described in a sales deck.

Quality at Every Layer

Data quality is not a single checkpoint. It is the result of many decisions made correctly, in the right order, every time.

PureScore™, our respondent-level scoring system, protects quality at the level of each individual interview. ISO 20252 addresses the layer around it: how projects are scoped, how questionnaires are reviewed, how fieldwork is monitored and how data is processed and delivered. Third party certification ensures the process is as dependable as the people answering the survey.

One Global Process, Powered by Workflow Technology

Certification is one half of the story. The other half is how we put the standard to work every day.

Alongside our ISO program, we are building new workflow technology that automates and standardizes how projects move through our operations. ISO 20252 defines what a well-run project looks like. Our workflow technology ensures every project follows that path, in every office, every time. Together, they create a single, streamlined global process that benefits everyone involved:

  • Project managers spend less time on manual tracking and handoffs, and more time on feasibility, fieldwork and client needs.
  • Programmers work from consistent intake, specifications and QA checkpoints, which means fewer revision cycles and faster, cleaner launches.
  • Management gains clear visibility into project status, workload and quality across all of our global operations.
  • Clients gain confidence that their work runs on a globally certified process, supported by technology built to keep quality and consistency intact from setup to delivery.

This foundation becomes even more important as we bring AI into research operations, from internal tools to our Claude Connector for the PureSpectrum Marketplace. Automation scales whatever process sits beneath it. Pairing it with a certified, well-defined workflow is what allows us to move faster without trading away rigor.

Looking Ahead

Global certification is a milestone, but it is not a finish line. The standard requires us to keep our processes current, documented and open to review, and we welcome that accountability.

Achieving it reflects the commitment of our teams in every region to rigorous, repeatable research operations. I want to thank them for their work, and thank our clients and partners for their continued trust.

We will continue to invest in the processes, technology and people that allow our clients to field research with confidence, in any market.
