Leadership with vision: A conversation with Sebastian Wezel, Sales Director, Central Europe at PureSpectrum

Sebastian Wezel, Sales Director, CE at PureSpectrum

Sebastian has been part of PureSpectrum since the beginning of 2022 and is responsible for the Central Europe region. When the company approached him, it was immediately clear to him: I’ll do it! Because what convinced him was the strong combination of innovative technology and practical applicability.

"I have rarely seen companies that can combine technology and practicality so well. PureSpectrum does things differently, works proactively, has a great company culture and the potential to fundamentally improve online data collection through simplification, greater efficiency and better data quality."

A team that lives responsibility

Together with his team, Sebastian pursues a clear goal: to make customers’ everyday work easier. “I am responsible for leading a functioning, motivated and satisfied team – and for bringing our values to the Central Europe region.”

These values – transparency, flat hierarchies, customer proximity – also shape PureSpectrum’s corporate culture. “Everyone takes responsibility. A set of values in everyday professional life has a positive effect within the team – and of course also on our customers.”

Leadership means consistency and humanity

For Sebastian, long-term success is built on a clear foundation: “To do things with consistency, day after day – because that’s the only way development is possible.”

His leadership style is characterized by a sense of reality and clarity: “Do things, because only then can they be turned into reality. In practice, things usually work differently than in the head. And that’s exactly why motivation is needed – and people who are the center of attention. Be it in a team or as a customer.”

A market in transition and right in the middle of it all: PureSpectrum

The market for online data collection is on the move: “I see a lot of interest in innovative solutions and a growing need for good data as a basis for decision-making. At the same time, budgets and timings are getting tighter and tighter.”

For Sebastian, this is exactly the opportunity: “Customer proximity, speed and cost efficiency create real competitive advantages – even and especially in the new age of AI. And that’s exactly where we come in.”

“We still see so much potential in the region and still have a lot to do,” says Wezel. The traditionally strong DACH market is currently experiencing changes and after only 4 years in the region, Purespectrum has a firm place in the market. The location for Central Europe is located in Berlin and is growing steadily.

Inspiration from the global team

He finds the work of the international team, for example in the field of engineering, particularly inspiring: “Chad Nuesmeyer, our SVP for Engineering & Product, comes to mind. He and his team are in charge of developing our platform. Insight into this central work and the change of perspective are good.”

What drives him – professionally and personally

Sebastian is driven by the desire to do things better, with a long-term view. “And of course the people in the company motivate me. It’s the path in itself that I’ve been walking with the team since 2022 – and it’s just a lot of fun.”

What drives the journey

When he is not working with his team, Sebastian enjoys spending time with his family and loves to travel – a curiosity that is also reflected in his management style.

"The journey together with my team is something very special – and every step was worth it. I'm looking forward to everything that lies ahead of us because I can safely say that this is the best team I've worked with so far. In the end, it is always a joint effort, which is particularly evident at Purespectrum, both locally and globally."

PureSpectrum has a DACH office in Berlin, which serves as a regional center and drives further expansion and future growth in Central Europe.
